Um, you simply double click at the name to rename it. That's the expected UX, and is much faster than digging for a rename operator in a menu.
I would vote to remove this nonsense operator instead of adding even more clutter. The goal of Bforartists is to improve the UI. Not to make it worse.
EDIT. On the other hand, this goddamn hotkey ...
