For my it always shows the tvshow thumb if only one season is active because the rest is watched.

Hi BigNoid,

I think I have no explained myself correctly. The problem happens in the episode view, when browsing a season with unwatched episodes the poster thumb on the left shows another season thumb image.

Let me put an example. I have an TVShow with episodes in two different seasons, however, all episodes in season 1 are watched and none are watched in season 2.

If I browse my tvshows without hiding watched episodes, when I click the tvshow the list changes to show the "All seasons, Season 1 and Season 2" list. From there I select the "Season 2" and everything works. In the Episodes view, episodes from season 2 are shown and the season thumb image on the left corresponds to the season 2.

However, If a browse my tvshows hiding watched episodes, when I click the tvshow it goes directly to season 2 (as "flattentvshows" defaults to show directly episodes if only one season is active as you said). In this case the Episodes view does incorrectly show the poster thumb image on the left and it corresponds to season 1.

Hope it is more clear now. Can you reproduce the behavior? Regards,

PS: I just realized... My directory structure on disk is "tvshow_name/episode_s01e01.avi" NOT "tvshow/season1/episode_s01e01.avi". Could this be the problem? As it works without hide watched episodes I thought it wasn't but I am not sure... :(

My directory structure is different. On my system, if there is only one season available (I have two seasons, but one is watched and thus hidden) I get the TV Show thumb instead of a season thumb.

Ok, it might be down to the directory structure then. I will take a look at it more closely and I will report back if that is the case so you can close the ticket. Just to be sure though, could you please tell me what poster you get when "hide watched is off" and you select the "All seasons"? I do get the "season 1" poster instead of the "tvshow poster"....

Hi BigNoid,

Now I understand the problem... and I think it is XBMC fault. If I select the skin view option "icon: TV show thumb" then everything works... the image shows always the tvshow poster. However, when the option "icon: Season thumb" is selected then the behavior changes if "hide watched items" is active or not.

Going through the code in the later case the infolabel "Container.SeasonThumb" is used and it seems (from this forum post) that when "All seasons" is selected (which happens if only one season is active) the infolabel points to the first season in the library.

I might create a ticket in xbmc for this, I think this issue can be closed in Aeon-Nox though! ;)

Regards,

That's right, I forgot I already made a trac ticket for that http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/12075
