Do you have a server.yml file in /mnt/user/appdata/ntfy/etc/?
Have you set up at least one user already? And made sure user.db exists in /mnt/user/appdata/ntfy/lib/?
Also, you should not expect the main URL to be protected: https://docs.ntfy.sh/faq/#can-i-disable-the-web-app-can-i-protect-it-with-a-login-screen
from ntfy.

Do a hard refresh in your browser, Ctrl-Alt-F5. Usually it's just a caching issue.
