There is a setting :set albumartist in the current HEAD on here. It is not complete. You have to set it before you connect or if you change it you have to reconnect. If you do :set albumartist! to toggle between the settings and then do a :reconnect. You should see your library window change. Particularly if you look at the various artist part.

I am going to improve it. But if you want something very very basic. That is there.

I have updated the HEAD to support toggling the albumartist setting without having to reconnect, and it should regenerate the library and fix the browse windows. There may be a couple of issues with it but i hope not.

seems to work fine. albumartist is not a possible tag in the song formats it seems, but i guess the albumartist mode does that automatically now.

Yeah, it does, i can make the format string tag change as well if you like, perhaps with one for album, one for albumartist and one for printing based on whether the albumartist mode is on or not (which would be the default).

might be good for someone. i would not personally use it since the present way is enough for me, it's just something i noticed. in any case it would get more consistent that way.

Well I added some formats for explicit use of the artist or albumartist tags as r and m (or R and M) respectively. Not the best letter choices but oh well. Otherwise if you think that this support is working well for you I will consider closing this.
