We're going to have new topics soon. Listening will be one of them.

I'm thinking about:

  • Listening - podcasts and something like that
  • News - echojs, js newsletters...
  • Video - some youtube channels and subscription websites. eg: code school

What do you think? :-)

I like the idea. The Listening part is great.

But I feel a little bit unconfortable with paid services like code school
(I know they have some free content and people have to pay for the "books"
as well).

What do you guys think?

Well, about Codeschool: they've just released a Javascript podcast (a month ago or so) called 5 minutes of Javascript. I think it's worth including it on the Listening topic.

There's also another podcast, not only about Javascript, but about web development in general called The Treehouse Show, by Treehouse, another Codeschool-like website. They even talked about the JS The Right Way in the last episode!

I think both sites have payed and free content, so even if someone choose not to subscribe, he still can access some courses and videos. I'm not contributing to this project since it's conception, so I don't know if one of the fundamental rules is that the content listed here must to be necessarily free. You should know about that topic better than me.

About the newsletters: I know three good ones:

Don't forget the http://webplatformdaily.org/ for the newsletters, it's also focused on JS and it would be a great addition.

Good one @leobalter! I'm getting all the suggestions made so far and building a new section. Soon it will be on.

Thanks y'all!
