It works with that version you are correct - if so, can you make a pull request with a test case?

Works with 1.0.3, not with 1.0.4. I'm not sure what the fix would be (other than dropping Buffers), but I'll take a look at it when get the time.

Ok, checked the code, the problem is that hash.update builds a list of strings that digest passes to buffer.concat which expects a list of buffers.
