Installation

go get github.com/bsphere/lecat
go install github.com/bsphere/lecat

Usage

Add a new manual TCP token log at logentries.com and copy the token.

Usage examples:

tail -F /var/log/some_logfile.log | lecat -token <logentries_token> -level <optional_log_level>

Working with supervisord problems

Configuration

[program:apperror]
command=tail -F /var/log/app.error.log | lecat -token=xxx -level=error
redirect_stderr=true 
stdout_logfile=/var/log/log-monitor-error.log

Supervisord message:

apperror                      FATAL     Exited too quickly (process log may have details)

$ cat /var/log/log-monitor-error.log
tail: invalid option -- 't'
Try 'tail --help' for more information.

lecat stops streaming data to logentries

Hi,

I am using your lecat tool for streaming logs from our docker containers and it works pretty well.
I am piping stdin to lecat using:
| lecat -token \"$LETOKEN\"

Unfortunately in some cases it suddenly stops streaming data on various occasions for various applications and I didn't find any common attribute, so my next guess is that there might be a problem with lecat, but I know how difficult it might be to reproduce such issue.

I simply wanna ask if anyone encountered similar behavior and how it was solved...
