leadership is gained by keeping your troops morale high. Its a built in dynamic of the game. if you look at the skill it tells you how to increase the skill.

I'll look into it, but I'm prioritizing fixes over just better mechanics.
Enhancements will get added later as optional features you have to opt-in to or turn on.
If you can identify a scenario where you definitely should get leadership XP but don't, I'll fix that ASAP.

The base game probably has a bug somewhere that is preventing proper leadership XP.

I remember getting lots of leadership XP early on with e1.0.0 but it took forever after that and I'm not sure why.

There is definitely some way to gain leadership experience in the game as it is though.

I mostly just bought a bunch of food, got morale to 100 and ran around hitting looters... was easier with a smaller group, harder with a larger group.

If you have other suggestions you should post them on TaleWorlds forum so they can be considered or not to be added to the game. Trust me TW does listen and they do care. If they see something they missed and can add it for everyone to enjoy they will really consider and even implement it in the game. I as a BETA tester witnessed this first hand. We made suggestions and they listened if they made sense.

you still get leadership xp... did you know that is take close to 20million xp to max out smithing.
and many of the skills are like that you get the skill level fast and then as you get higher in the skill it takes longer to reach the next level. They are using an exponential equation to go to the different skill levels and the higher the skill the better the Tier perk is available. It like that with all RPG games.
