Companion sent on a mission does not return.

This mod doesn't patch anything, it adds a console command campaign.fix_holding_companion to find the companion, whether they're in prison or whatever, and return them to your party, and then it asks you to endorse the mod.

The bug itself works that after the companions finish their quest but never return to your party, even after weeks of waiting. The command spawns them back into your party. Otherwise you have to kick them out and pay the 5-10k to re hire them.

I'll try to find a save with the bug still in effect.
As I said, mod claims to fix it. Through what means is more your expertise. The bug report is still there just in case. All I know is I finally got my two companions back without having to kick them out and re hire them.
