Can you try pulling and retesting?

It looks like fixed in the current master:

done

(yes it is a "modded" version of mine, but the line endings are of the master's)

dbkaplun avatar dbkaplun commented on July 20, 2024

I can confirm this is an issue on current master.

I am using a Kubuntu 14.04 Konsole (where it works fine) if this helps to identify terminal specific bugs.

caiogondim avatar caiogondim commented on July 20, 2024

@dbkaplun Does it always happen? Or only when you enter this specific folder? Im trying to reproduce here but without success.
What OS and version are you using?

from bullet-train.zsh.

vadviktor avatar vadviktor commented on July 20, 2024

I have just been able to reproduce this using Manjaro (Arch fork) linux which is using very recent KDE5.
Although I am not able to reproduce it at all times, it's somewhat random, but at least I have discovered it is related to window refresh. When I type tab so the screen has to redraw somehow, it removes that fill glitch and everything looks good. Also it goes away on terminal window resize where the screen has to redraw itself.

All this is not an issue on my Kubuntu which is still using KDE4.

I'll get back when I know how to reproduce it for sure.

Thanks so much for the investigation, @vadviktor
Will try on Ubuntu latest version today and will post the results here.

As @vadviktor pointed, It randomly happens on iTerm2 too. Window resizing makes it good.

If it helps, everything's alright on Mint 17.2 with Cinnamon in Terminator.

EDIT (19/11/2015) : I just got it right now, here is a screenshot.

All i did was just working in a non full size window, when I resized it to full screen it's was ok as you can see on the second screenshot.

dbkaplun avatar dbkaplun commented on July 20, 2024

FWIW this is still happening, but when I resize the window at all without pressing any buttons the problem goes away. Even during resizing, before I let go of the mouse. Strange.

Happens in both iTerm2 and Terminal.app.

So long time. Can we retest again?

from bullet-train.zsh.

vadviktor avatar vadviktor commented on July 20, 2024

On Arch linux, KDE5 Konsole, still the case.

from bullet-train.zsh.

joanayma avatar joanayma commented on July 20, 2024

I can reproduce the same problem in MacOSX using iterm2. If i change the width of the terminal, then the problem disappears for the active prompt.
