Update at Tinymce 3.5.8 error

Got the same problem as well except I am updating TinyMCE to 4. In webroot/js I added a new folder "tinymce"

TinyMCE/webroot/js/tinymce

If I navigate to

http://something.com/TinyMCE/js/tinymce/tinymce.min.js

I get "Fatal Error". Now I moved the old tinymce folder to tiny_mce_old and when I go to

http://something.com/TinyMCE/js/tiny_mce_old/tiny_mce.js 

It works just fine. Most likely i'm doing something wrong but any help is appreciated.

I do have PHP short tags enabled on my server therefore CakePHP was trying to parse the javascript as PHP.

This 'feature' has been removed from Cake in future versions as you can see on the ticket history.

I would suggest both turning off short tags and symlinking your assets (as it is much faster anyhow)
