I had to break the API with v2.0 (thus the major version change) to support a streaming interface. Relevant section from the README.md:

var shaObj = new jsSHA("SHA-512", "TEXT");
shaObj.update("This is a test");
var hash = shaObj.getHash("HEX");

If you don't want to change your code and don't need the streaming API, stick with < v2.0
