One function has been changed in Ruby 1.9 to return array of symbols instead of strings. I remember running into this myself once, I can't look at the code now, but here's a quick workaround:

class Symbol; def scan *a, &b; to_s.scan *a, &b; end; end

That works, Thanks!

A lot of gems still don't work in 1.9 so I ended up switching back to 1.8.7 anyway.

This was fixed in 3985449. Please try gem install camping --source http://gems.judofyr.net/ :-)
