(Hooray for reviving old issues!)

You can just use Rack::ShowExceptions?

Camping.goes :Test

module Test
    use Rack::ShowExceptions

    module Controllers
        class Index
            def get
                raise
            end
        end
    end
end

I just tested this on Heroku, on bamboo-mri-1.9.2 stack, and it works. Should this be the default?

You really don't want to use Rack::ShowExceptions in production though.

I can confirm that you still don't get a proper backtrace on Heroku by default.

You can add this to config.ru to turn on logging through heroku logs:

Thin::Logging.debug = true

Although the "correct" way is to use Exceptional or Hoptoad.
