I'm getting the same error. I also searched in the Capistrano Google Group for info, but couldn't find any.
I did find some references to running ssh-doctor before any deployments (as I am doing), which may cause it, but no general resolution.
After more searching, I finally got this to work by doing an explicit conversion of specified_keys variable in ssh_doctor.rake as described in pull request #8 below...
I've only tested this minimally so far. Will test and update further as I go along...
