Not sure what you mean by "not activated automatically". Do you mean they 
remain dimmed? This is /probably/ due to the theme you are using. Try with 
Oxygen (the KDE/Qt version).

I installed oxygen-icon-theme.
They are not dimmed but one of them are highlighted.
When moving mouse, highlight does not move along with mouse.

You can see that the song where the mouse is on is not highlighted in the 
attached file.
