After many attempts to get the cursor to work, it just seems to place random steady pixels in a position that is definitely not what the documentation says it should be. Since this is a weird hardware bug that would take a lot of effort to simulate for absolutely no reason, and since no one would actually use it, this issue is being marked as pointless and closed. However, the mmio areas used by the hardware cursor should definitely be emulated, as a developer may want to use it as a temporary storage location.
