Error While Creating a Button Through Meta Api

This Apex compilation exception occurs because ActionOverride does not extend the Metadata base type (which is the type of the list passed to the 'create' method. This is as per the Salesforce Metadata API documentation you cannot create ActionOverride's individually.

You can only access ActionOverride by accessing its encompassing CustomObject.

I have updated the examples class with an example of how to do this by updating the CustomObject. Note that you only need to populate some aspects of the CustomObject passed in and add the action override you want to add. Hope this helps!
