ComMon is a command line COM port monitor for Windows environment. This tiny tool is developed using Codeblocks running on Windows. Prior to execution of ComMon, please install com0com (virtual COM ports) as to monitor the communication between an application and a device additional virtual ports are needed. A typical setup to monitor the communication would be having ComMon connects to the application using a pair of virtual ports and the device through a physical port.
