Thanks for applying the earlier patch!
This bug report contains the final changes that make WMV at least build and
run under Linux. The actual OpenGL model window doesn't work yet - that
will be a separate patch. Loading MPQ files currently requires their
filenames to be in the exact same case as in the source file, since
filenames are case-sensitive under Linux, unlike Windows.
The diff, thankfully much smaller than the previous one, patches existing
files - most of these changes are, again, for string conversion issues.
The new files in the tar.gz add the missing source files for CxImage
(needed for Linux, since the SVN tree only has a Windows .lib binary and
headers). They also update the Linux build system to the modern CMake
instead of a very outdated static makefile with hardcoded paths. (In fact,
src/Makefile can be deleted, as it would only work reliably on one machine
- the author's.)
It would be nice if CMakeLists.txt could be expanded for both platforms -
after all, CMake can generate Visual Studio .sln/.vcproj files in addition
to makefiles, so in theory it could be used as a grand unified build system
for Linux and Windows. For now, though, the Windows build can continue
using the existing .sln/.vcproj files independent of CMake.

Northrend polygon flames, ulduar cloth shoulders, and waterfall
objects(among others) do not properly render transparent edges on their
animated textures, giving them hard edges instead of faded out ones like in
game.

Currently, ModelCanvas uses WGL functions to initialize the window, instead
of inheriting from wxGLCanvas. (It *used* to inherit from wxGLCanvas.)
A cross-platform solution would be to inherit from wxWindow only under
Windows, and wxGLCanvas on other platforms. This (apparently) won't allow
the fine-grained OpenGL settings currently implemented under Windows, but at
least the basic functionality will work.

Under Linux with my patches applied (see issue 22), wowmodelviewer fails to
find MPQ files unless they are in the exact same case as typed in the source
file.
I'm going to modify the search algorithm so that instead of searching for
each MPQ file independently, the program will iterate over the data
directory and compare the file names to the predefined list in a case-
insensitive manner. This should be cross-platform.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Export any WMO file with a large number of texutres &/or Polys to any
format; (not sure which causes the issue) Dalaran, Stormwind or my favorite
for this issue: Caverns of Time. (Not a lot to export, so it goes fast, but
it defiantly has the issue!)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see all Textures exported with the proper names. Instead, I get
a lot of correct textures exported, and others are exported with seemingly
randomly-chosen texture names from the texarray. The proper files are
properly associated to their polys, but the images themselves are wrong.
Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
I think it may be the method upon which the exporting is done. With a
high-volume of textures/polys, the GL texture may become overwhelmed and is
changing textures mid-export, causing the problem.
One possible way to fix this is writing a direct BLP->TGA converter that is
called when exporting. I'm gonna try and do this...

This patch does not yet enable build on Linux - first, Windows-specific
stuff needs to be rewritten in RenderTexture.cpp, at the very least.
However, it fixes issues with include paths and file names (they are case-
sensitive in Linux, and backslashes don't work), and string conversions.
Please remember to wrap string constants in wxT() when assigning them to
wxStrings.
