It would be useful to get some sort of visual feedback/prompt when an import fails and perhaps with troubleshooting suggesting and/or linking to the SOP. Maybe some sort of check that lets the user know they are missing the “database identifiers” row or a column header.
Agreed. 382760a introduces functionality for comparing headers, which alerts the user if their imported file has different headers, and then asks them to specify their header row. It definitely is useful to also tell the user what columns they are missing. Will need to add this.
Additionally, is it necessary for the first row to specifically be labelled “database identifiers”, can’t the contents be ignored?
This is true; the contents can be ignored. 382760a limits the comparison to the second row only, so this should be corrected in the next release without any extra work.
