Hmm. Based on advice we received about this image from CircleCI Discuss (our forum), this image will need to be re-written before it can go stable. So this issue will likely not exist as Leiningen won't be the default install method.

well, I saw that and it is right, that official way of using clojure is deps.edn and probably a lot of people using it already. But there are a lot of people still using leiningen as well. So I agree but I think it is not wrong to have leiningen as well.

The beta has been rebooted. There's a brand new beta image for v1.10.3 with a different build process. Hopefully it has what you need. Please check out the image and leave feedback in a new Issue or in the CircleCI Discuss announcement post.

Short summary, we're attempting clj and lein in the same image. If that doesn't work, then we will offer build as variants. Either way, but install options will be available for this image.
