Hey @felix91gr, thanks for letting us know about this.
The problem is due to a recent change in the postgres image. Previously, the image would always set up the user as "postgres", but now it respects the environment variable.
It should be a quick fix. Patch incoming.

Oh, that's such a relief. I've been trying to make our overly-complicated RoR project build and run properly on CircleCI, and found the local CLI as a possible path to find answers. When it failed with the example project, I was disheartened. Thank you 🙏🏻
