The bug report is #5. I merged a PR, but didn't update the repo I was seeding with gittorrentd, so you went on to the network looking for the post-merge commit, but no-one was seeding it. To fix it I just ran "git pull" in the clone I'm seeding from.

it feels like this is a special case of #18 - that is, if i was able to get some of the objects, it would have been nice... ;) the way i see it, it would have been better to fetch the packfile that was available than nothing at all. then maybe i can find the rest of the commits somewhere else some other way, or just update the HEAD ref to point to the commits i was able to get...

It would be fine to announce every commit in this repo, but if the repo were the Linux kernel, that would be 4 million announces required to make this use case work. We can't do that.
