Yes, that is what I meant. :call CocActionAsync('doHover') works well as a replacement for typeDefinition, I think. Thanks!

I think this is the LSP textDocument/typeDefinition request which we haven't implemented in clangd yet - I think just because nobody asked for it.
I don't think it'll be terribly hard, I'll try to put together a patch.

This behavior works in clangd + YCM

I believe YCM binds :YcmCompleter GetType to showing clangd's "hover" information, which includes type, e.g.

variable S
type: struct S
Value = {}

Is this what you mean? This is available in coc as :call CocActionAsync('doHover').
