Update: This seems to be comparing versions "fb4b3d5e188251ce6340f44908a0332d149fcc58" with "ba8575466b0a7da8b799f996fe93c7873760b01b", which results in 0 due to the comparison logic in def <=> in bosh_common-1.2334.0/lib/common/version_number.rb. Therefore, they appear to be the same (cmp == 0), although they're not. My guess is somehow these versions are bogus, but I cannot yet see whether this is something I did wrong or an actual issue with diego-release.

From the output it looks like this issue is meant for cf-release.

For what it's worth the portion of the diego-release README that refers to cf-release is working correctly for us. Perhaps also try upgrading bosh_cli? We are using BOSH 1.2657.0.

FYI: By default bosh-lite will install bosh_cli and bosh_common version 1.2334.0, which seems to be be the cause of the issue above.
