Interestingly, the exact same command with the exact same container IDs _works for me_™..

I'm currently testing this on an Ubuntu 14.04 host with Docker 1.1.2. The "502 Bad Gateway" error seems to indicate there's indeed a problem with the php-fpm setup, however I'm struggling to reproduce this locally.

Could you try running the container in the foreground and provide some details about your system?

here is what I had

mathieu on ~ $ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS"

mathieu on ~ $ docker.io --version
Docker version 0.9.1, build 3600720

I tried upgradind docker:

mathieu on ~ $ docker --version
Docker version 1.1.2, build d84a070

it worked after I removed the image and fetch it again. maybe it could be mentioned in the README that it's tested only in docker 1.1.2 ?

I did not have to remove the image, I've just stopped her before upgrading docker.

iirc this has been tested with docker v1.0? Either way, I don't see a benefit mentioning this in the README anymore, now that docker v1.3 is released.

Given that this appears to work with any recent version of docker, I'm inclined to just close this. Feel free to comment on this ticket if this problems persists.
