you can use the current development branch of arara. https://github.com/cereda/arara

The current version 4.0RC has some nice new gimmicks explained here:

Solving your issue you can use:

arara: indent if changed('tex')

Oh that's cool. Thank you. I will wait until the release as all my work is indented for now and I switched it off. But that will be very very handy. Thank you for your effort.

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for my delayed response (will respond more quickly in the future).

Marco's fix is great- thanks you, Marco- latexindent.pl is not really intended to be run every time you edit a file; personally I run it at towards the end when the file is pretty much finished.
