documentation-old's Issues

Connect via PuTTY Docs out of date

using the hostname presented in the "INFO" text of containername-username.codeanyapp.com and the port shown = Connection Refused error from PuTTY.

So either the docs are correct and I don't know what to put in xxx (preview.xxxxx.box.codeanywhere.com) or the docs are wrong and need to be updated OR something is messed up on my account 💨

The documentation listed at http://docs.codeanywhere.com/other/support.html appears to be out of date as the support email no longer has a link to a sign in / sign up page for your request, nor does there appear to be a chat function at codeanywhere.com

Link to ticketing system

There is not a link to the ticketing system provided in the documents or in the support emails. They both reference each other as the place to find it.

Two-Factor authentication documentation is outdated

It seems like https://docs.codeanywhere.com/features/twofactorauth.html is outdated since you apparently now support software-based 2fa methods and not sms?

How to turn on container

PLEASE add a paragraph and an image similar to this that explains how to turn on a container. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out. Why must I have to resort to Youtube videos to find this absolutely VITAL information elsewhere??

Right click the container name and choose Turn On.

Why not converting this user (@codeanywhere) into an organization?

An error when you tried to connect with FTP/SFTP.

It never happened before. :(

Angular Documentation Leads to "Invalid Host header" Error

I don't know if there is a better way to do this (I hope there is) but when running an angular application after following the documentation exactly I receive an "Invalid Host header" Error. To bypass this I have to add --disable-host-check. You could change your documentation to "ng serve --host 0.0.0.0 --port 3000 --disable-host-check" or provide a more secure answer.

Projects page doesn't have any details on how to move connections into a different project

Would appreciate if anyone could add information on trasnferring connections between projects.
If you have to delete your connection and then re-add it under a project - it sucks royally but it makes sense and is doable.

search bar for documentation?

Was looking to navigate through the documentation by quickly searching for a term and had to instead click through a bunch of links to answer my question. I think the benefits of having a search bar for the documentation are quite clear!
