I've updated the style pack with a new loading.gif. Simply add "display:none" to the Slider images and set the background of the slider to the loading.gif. That way no images will show until the slider has loaded.

Are you using $(window).load - that fires once all document resources (images, etc) have fully loaded.

Firstly - thanks for such a great resource. The slideshow is really excellent. Sorry maybe this is really dumb question. My slides are still flashing on load. When you say "You can help this by manually applying the above CSS styles to stop the images flashing on the page before the plugin loads." - I simply added the CSS to the header before the $(window).load script. This hasn't fixed the problem. Can you advise? Thanks so much!

The style pack is great. However, if the images are large it now takes a long time before any images are displayed. Is there a way to display the images progressively? I understand that there isn't if using $(window).load, but I don't know enough to know if there is a different approach, either.

Please use $(window).load() instead of $(document).ready(). Document ready does not work the first time you load the page and images are not cached.
