I had the same problem with a multisite version. Se this issue: #38

Thanks, I have turned on debugging and it doesn't output anything. If you
have the plugin installed in your environment, an easy way to replicate the
issue would be to set a sortable column for a HIDDEN Custom Field.. You
need to enable " Show hidden custom fields. Default is off." in the
Settings tab of the plugin settings first to allow for the hidden fields to
show.
