N.B.: A work around to this issue with Pivy's QuarterWidget is using SoQt instead:
With the availability of commit a0c3e84, SoQt port (#17), I tried out example 10.6 with SoQt instead and now it works as expected. Therefore, I reckon there might be an issue when using multiple instances of Pivy's QuarterWidget with managing the viewers' OpenGL contexts (either with caching or loosing it partially; or eventually just some redraw is missing [in the GLRenderAction?]; obviously inserting unnecessary redraws should be avoided, since it would slow down the rendering performance.) To this end, I don't have acquired good enough OpenGL debugging skills for working with tools such as https://github.com/dtrebilco/glintercept. Therefore, the guidance of an OpenGL expert would be most welcome :-)
