I have a kind suggestion on using Transifex (https://www.transifex.com/) for translating files. It's easier in access and it is for free for open source projects. It could be helpful for future translations.

I would like to... But, how do I pull my translations to CA, when finished with a translation session?

You'd download the .po file, convert it to an .mo file using POEdit and then install it in the it_IT (Italian) directory in app/locale

If you want your translation to get into the Git repository then you have to ask us to do it. We only merge the Transifex translations right before a release otherwise.
