- and 2) shouldn't happen in the latest GitHub code as both these restrictions have been loosened in the profile schema for exactly that reason. I'm assuming you're using something older, for instance the 1.3 release? User interface screen type restriction codes are optional and so are labels in nested Containers.
The third one looks really weird, we haven't seen that one before. It's especially weird because we build the XML using a DOM tree where exactly this kind of stuff shouldn't happen. Can you confirm that this still happens with the latest master code?

As it turns out, while my system is using the latest code, the local machine I was using to validate the profile was using an older schema. All is well now.
