I think https://travis-ci.org/smessie/community-server would need to be created for that to work. But the PR check is the most important one in any case; perhaps I should just disable the branch check.

It exists, but is located at https://travis-ci.com/github/smessie/community-server/
As described in this announcement, new repositories should be made on the .com domain rather than the .org domain of travis.
However I went to .org and I signed up there too, now https://travis-ci.org/github/smessie/community-server is a thing too.
Will have to see if that helps.
