I may be incorrect, but I don't think random() is supported by libsass or scssphp. WP-SCSS can't support it without the base compiling library having that functionality.

You may be able mimic that function with a mixin?

With scssphp, we can register php function like this

$scss = new scssc();
$scss->setFormatter("scss_formatter_compressed");

$scss->registerFunction("random", function($args) {
list($a, $b) = $args;
return mt_rand($a[1],$b[1]);
});

$server = new scss_server($directory, null, $scss);
$server->serve();

it will be fantastic to be able to do this with wp-scss

I think the basic idea would require a precompiler hook.
