Thanks for sharing this. I'll look into what we might be able to do about it. I'm also planning to make it more automatic to run the server through the PyPI package, which is another route that wouldn't cause this.
I'll let you know when there's an update there, but until then the best way to proceed is manually running with the PyPI package

@zeddyemmy @ecchichan As of yesterday, the official VS Code extension comes with the binary pre-installed so I would expect that there are no issues from Windows Defender. Can either of you verify that this is the case?

We've now entirely removed the need for a separate Python binary by rewriting all of this logic in typescript, so Continue will not be flagged by Windows Defender. thanks again for sharing this!
