I'll take a look into the positioning issue.
Also, another random thing I noticed is that the mouse scroll appears to work opposite to the way it behaved in older versions (i.e. opposite scroll direction).
I'll recheck that too.

I rechecked scrolling implementation and switched directions.
The positioning bug you described belongs to our css3 transition handler (which requires $.fn.transit). I'll dig into it (note to myself: better unit tests on item positions needed).
I temporarily removed $.fn.transit on the demo page so the plugin falls back to use jQuery.animate.
