@LucaLanziani I am guessing a bare make or make submodules is required as a first step to fetch the build submodule.

@turkenh I was going to suggest to add the make submodules to the Readme in slack ;)

But unfortunately that doesn't solve the issue:

Aah, sorry 🤦

We don't have those make targets, guessing the readme is legacy from an old version of the original provider-template repo. We need to update the readme.

Guessing you want to build and push provider image, this could help instead: crossplane/crossplane#2475
