do u want them the same width they were ?

from seti_st3.

kaansoral avatar kaansoral commented on September 4, 2024

no I would like them to be higher in width also, the default sublime text scroller width seems adequate

I'm working on files that sometimes reach 4000 lines, therefore it's nice to see the position from the scrollbar and sometimes use the scrollbar to quickly browse the file

i mean the SB is currently w = 3px ,and they were 6px ,so is that what u want or u want a thicker one ?

kaansoral avatar kaansoral commented on September 4, 2024

12px would be great, 10px would also do
It is also possible to lighten the scroller color so that it's more visible, currently it's dark blue on black, therefore hard to track, a dark white / gray could be better
maybe you could add it as a setting such as "light_scroller" etc

check now , 12px is to ugly so its 10px now.

if its still hard to view i will add the option for color ,btw if the prev is true send me the color u want but try to keep it close to the main theme.

thanks for the updates

for some reason ST3 isn't picking the updates, I've also tried removing/re-installing packages but I'm still getting the same version of the plugin, I will provide feedback when the plugin updates, please let me know if something needs to be done manually to fetch the latest version

once again, thanks for the new feature

after trial the "med" size seems optimal, even 10px is huge, 6px seems nice

it could even be 5px for the file browser and 7px for the file scroller itself, but I'm guessing they share the same configurations

(I thought how 0.5 opacity scrollbars would be, but I guess it would be very ugly for the file browser, it's probably better that the scroller blocks space instead of letting things underneath creep)

I don't have a way of testing scrollbar colors, but I guess light blue could be interesting: #ADD8E6 would go well with the opened folder icon color

(off topic, the opened files dropdown/button/UI looks bad with seti_ST3, I'm talking about the icon that is just above the rightmost scrollbar, it seems it needs some left-padding, if possible)

As a general idea, is it possible to set the scrollbar widths from the settings?
That way people could more intricately configure the theme to their likings
It could also be great to configure the colors from settings too, if possible
It could be great to have as many main options/settings as possible, would enhance the experience, this is a great theme already, but such an enhancement would make things perfect

(Also once again, it would be great to configure the file browser scrollbar and the file scrollbar separately if possible, file browser scrollbar is not that needed generally, at least for my use case, it could be reduced to 4px while the file scrollbar becomes 7px etc.)

i originally wanted to do that but i dont know how ,maybe with a python file that does that dynamically but again i know nothing about python.

ST have 2 SB options ,one for the main window "including the sidebar" and one for the panels "including the auto complete".

corner
This is the issue I'm talking about

It would be great if we could test this color: #ADD8E6 as the scrollbar color for the time-being, the dimensions are great after the update, yet the scrollbar itself is still not visible since all colors are dark

Thanks in Advance

the coloring option is added ,but sadly i cant add more margin to the tabset ,if u found a solution make a PR.

from seti_st3.

kaansoral avatar kaansoral commented on September 4, 2024

The new option is great, thanks so much, it does the job / solves the problem

I don't want to take your time any more, however, the color I chose was obviously too soft, I see now that it should be a bit darker

http://www.color-hex.com/color-palette/3946
I'm guessing this could be better: #9fb7cb

http://www.color-hex.com/color-palette/3947
Maybe even something darker as: #6681af

You can also use your discretion to use a darker version of the tab underlining color, I'm sure it will still be visible

u can try doing it ur self and if its what u want make a PR ,the tint values are in RGB ,so put the hex in any photo editing app and just use the RGB values that comes out of that hex.
