Does a refresh fix the problem?

If yes: Does the bug eventually reappear if you continue to refresh the page? Can the problem be reproduced after saving the page to disk and loading it from there?
If no: Please specify link to broken page and your chromium version.

refresh sometimes fixes it, sometimes creates it, sometimes changes the degree of overlap.

The same thing happens when the page is saved to disk.

All horizontal-split pages are affected, chromium-version:28.0.1500.52-0ubuntu1.13.04.3

I installed Chromium (Version 28.0.1500.52 Ubuntu 13.04 (28.0.1500.52-0ubuntu1.13.04.3) according to "About Chromium") on a Kubuntu VM, and after opening this post in the horizontal-split view mode, and refreshing the page 20 times, I did not notice the problem you described.

  1. When you open a page, what % of time is the bug triggered?
  2. Does changing the size of the browser window affect the reproducability of the bug? If yes, at what size does the bug appear?
  3. Can you post a screenshot of the problem?

  1. From loading http://forum.dlang.org/group/digitalmars.D.announce and then clicking on a post, the bug appears 70-80% of the time.
  2. Bug appears only when browser is almost full width of screen. Resizing the window causes the bug to correct itself.

I'm unable to reproduce this issue, which leaves me at a dead end. It seems that the problem is highly localized to your system. I suspect that it might be a bad interaction between DFeed, your browser, and the way it integrates with your GUI toolkit (GTK).

I can advise doing one of the following:

  1. Filing a bug with your browser's vendor - they may follow up with some advice on isolating and diagnosing the issue;
  2. Contributing a patch for DFeed which fixes the problem for you;
  3. Changing your environment so that the bug does not occur (e.g. using another GUI toolkit for the browser, or using a different browser / browser version for forum.dlang.org).

After a quick delve in to the css I'm pretty sure it's a bug in my environment.

I'm still seeing this on OS X with safari, chrome and firefox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/53id81u1rknpyse/Screenshot%202015-05-29%2016.07.11.png?dl=0

It seems to be related to slow internet connections

group-index is overflowing group-split-list

group-index is overflowing group-split-list

That might be fixed in the next branch, it uses a different approach to overflows.
