steamwidgets-js's Introduction

Hi there! I am Daniel Brendel ๐Ÿ‘‹

I am a software developer and project founder from germany. I love creating web applications, games, programmer tools and various other kinds of software. I am the founder of various projects. This helped me gaining extensive expertise in software development, project hosting, marketing, customer support and management. I am also a hobby gamer, occassional drummer and singer and I also enjoy a nice coffee at a coffeeshop while working on things using my laptop. Furthermore I like hiking and other sporting activities.

steamwidgets-js's Issues

Onlinecount documentation

From the docs, it's not immediately clear how the onlinecount should be structured. Could you add an example for each tag and it's input?

I've added the tag onlinecount=":count" to the steam app tag but it's not showing anything

Is this correct?

<steam-app appid="1148810" onlinecount=":count"></steam-app>

N.B. It looks like it's correct based on this: https://github.com/danielbrendel/steamwidgets-js/blob/main/src/js/steam_app.js#L134, but I get no output. If there are no players online is it expected it would show blank?

Question about EOS

I had a question about the end of steamwidgets.com, Does this mean the API will go offline? If so is there a self-hosted drop-in replacement?

I love it (and a suggestion)

Thank you for this great widget. It is very useful and, from what I have seen, it is one of the few alternatives to display Steam content on our websites. I would like to suggest that in the user widget, there be an option to show the last game you played or your current game library. I don't know if it's very complicated, but I think it would be great to incorporate that.

Have a nice day/night!
