Yeah, I'd love for this to be fixed. I've tried making my own but can't really figure it out. Maybe just make it a scroll view? Because there is no reason to let the box go outside the width of the photo. Do you know what I mean?

sorry for my delay, but i've been very busy in these days.
I would to replace this components with another one like this: image.
This is what i want to do: the image will be fixed and the user can drag and transform the crop rect

That's a good idea. That probably would work!

I use this for when my app users create their avatar, so for me the original design is good. It just does what @alecgorge described which is a problem.

I think this is the best solution. The rotation could be a plus and it could be managed by a slider instead of the rotation gesture.

That could be cool. I'm totally for it. I suggest white boarder instead of green though and smaller circles for the corners.

And I would say make the default cropping a square around the rectangle like it is currently. And then if the user wants, they can make the square smaller and move it around.
