I don't know how to help you on this. I can assure that in all my tests it is returning the source both in Android and iOS. Please make sure you are using the latest release of the plugin.
Regarding the aggregated query, it's not possible to retrieve the source because it aggregates on all sources. There would be the possibility to filter the data according to its source both in iOS and Android, but it's not implemented here.

any news regarding this issue?
The only reason I can think is that you're using an old version of the Google APIs (either on the phone or at compilation time) ?
