@yarikoptic thanks so much for thinking of this. I would very much be interested to contribute, including to finally brush up the datalad packaging for Gentoo. Sadly none of this is realistic until Apr. 12 --- is the date still standing?

Participation in the paper as a co-author or to be acknowledged is not contingent/does not require any additional work (not to say that updated DataLad packaging for Gentoo would be greatly appreciated)! Please just state your desire or submit a PR .

Ok, I have submitted a PR, and will concentrate on the Gentoo packaging, which seems the most relevant contribution I can make at this point.
