this isn't going to happen, sorry. If there is some documentation you feel could be improved, we will accept patches.

To be honest I would add a confirmation before running automigration. It also happened to me that I lost my data by an accident. We should discuss possible solutions. I also don't think that changing method names would be enough.

In that case perhaps change the dm-rails rake task rather than anything in here?

Yeah, but for us non-Rails users? For sure, we could always make some rake tasks, but dm should avoid confusion from the beginning.
the documentation is not the problem. when using migration tasks, they won't destroy data, if they don't need to.
what about safe_migration! vs. destructive_migration!
or migrate! vs migrate_and_clear!
just to give you an idea, that more intuitive names are possible

We're about to release 1.1. Maybe we could rename the methods and add deprecation warnings. I'm gonna ask on #datamapper what people think about that idea.
