[Enhancement] Scalac Compiler plugins that have dependencies

Hi,
I was wondering if there was any progress on this, or a workaround to use plugins with dependencies? I'm trying to use the Avro Scala plugin https://github.com/radlab/SCADS/wiki/Avro-Plugin which depends on a couple things. It works fine with the older maven-scala-plugin but I can't seem to get it to work with the scala-maven-plugin.

Strange, there is no (volontary change) about load of plugin between 2.x serie and 3.x.
Can you provide a sample project that show the failure ?

If I change just the groupId, artifactId and version of the plugin to be the old 2.15.2 one it works fine.

Update: If I run mvn scala:console it works fine and I'm able to use the plugin inside the scala console. mvn compile still fails however, saying it can't find org.apache.avro.Schema
