- perhaps it would be better to turn on turbo mode in default config?
The original IBM PC and XT had no turbo button, I have added one as a 'bonus' but I think I would like the default state to be as accurate as possible. These were not fast machines :)

- choose the most performant set of the ROMs (at MS-DOS 6.22) and recommend it
I'm not sure there are significant performance deltas between rom versions, although I could do some benchmarks. I suppose I would recommend using the latest ROM available for each machine. For XT this would be the 1986 BIOS.

0.1.2 has been merged which contains numerous performance improvements. A ROM wiki page has been created which recommends a preferred ROM set, if you do not wish to use GLaBIOS.
