D does not have a preprocessor so that target_compile_definitions has no effect for the .d files.
Alternatively you could use version:
target_compile_options(${PROJECT_NAME}
PRIVATE -version=MG_ENABLE_HTTP_URL_REWRITES
)Applying this just for the .d files can be done using some cmake generator magic.

Thanks, I had no idea I could pass entire options to target_compile_definitions. I thought I was restricted to valid C tokens.
