This is exactly my problem with this extension as well. It seems they missed the very important of how to actually launch the extension when making the flashy video.

The only way I've found to launch it is to:
1.) Right-click on an already existing extension in the tool bar.
2.) Click on "Manage".
3.) Find the Dewey extension and click on "Visit website".
4.) Click on "Launch App"

This is obviously a very convoluted way to do things, so I must be missing some other way that the creators intended the extension to be opened...but I can't find it, making this extension basically useless.

This extension is actually a Chrome Application, you can go to the chrome applications page (it can be accessible from New Tab page) chrome://apps/ and just choose Dewey.

Ahh, it's a Chrome App! Well I guess I should have surmised that from the domain name, but it's probably something that would be good thing to state on the website itself. Learning how to use it from this Git repo is great, but not knowing how to actually get to it seems pretty counterintuitive.

Regardless though, thanks for pointing that out @tjvanpat and @outcoldman!

@jamiewilson why don't include it as part of Dewey app?

@outcoldman I was under the impression that Chrome apps aren't allowed the same behavior as extensions when it comes to putting an icon in the browser like an extension does. Am I wrong?

Also, a guy just made it without letting me know. I guess he wanted to publish it himself.

@outcoldman Because of this: http://developer.chrome.com/extensions/overview#extension-ui

I don't understand this restriction.
